I am considering adding a forum to this site so that everyone can discuss problems, etc with this plugin. Is this something that you would be interested in or are you more content to post comments on this site or to email Brandon directly. Documentation for this plugin is pretty thin, and I remember having to do a lot of figuring out and Googling to get it to work.
What is clear is that two things are needed: a decent doc explaining how to install the plugin, and an area for people to ask questions if they’re not able to get the plugin to work.
A forum would be good, but the registration deters a lot of people from posting. Also phpBB forums are plagued by spammers these days and it takes a lot of time to manage a forum and keep the spammers out. You could make the forum open to public posters but then spam would be insane, I imagine.
You could have a post on this WP blog with the documentation, and allow questions to be asked in the comments section, but that is difficult for people to search through later on.
You could have a Wiki, which is nice. Check out the documentation for Azureus, it uses a Wiki and is nice. Discussion can take place on a designate Talk page for questions, and resolved questions could be added to another designated page called “Known issues”.
I don’t know the answer to your question. A forum would be great, but it would take time to manage. Do you have time?

I was looking for a new version of wp-phpbb plugin (I use the previous one since years) and I was surprised when I noticed that you have used my page’s url as sample url in the plugin!!!

I honestly have no idea when Brandon might get around to updating the plugin or release a new version. I’m just hosting everything for him as I noticed the original sub domain was broken. I’m probably going to install forums here so people can start helping each other.
I apologize a million times for those who need support for this plugin. I’m getting married soon and I’m insanely busy! I also don’t have a working forum on my site right now so that makes development hard. I hope to make this plugin WP 2.2 compatible as soon as I can get a forum up on my site.
Hi, I’m intersting in this plugin in order to get the lasts posts of my phpbb forum in a home page of wordpress. I can use the phpbb MOD’S Topics Anywhere (whith Javascript) for this but I have trouble with encoding (phpbb in ISO and WP in UTF-8).
So it would be nice to have a simple forum to discuss about improvments, bugs, troubles, … and I think it wouldn’t take to much time to admin this forum.
A simple installation instruction would be great too.
